UMKC Library Third Floor Open House

Celebrating the new Digital Collaboration Studio & SHSMO

The UMKC Libraries are hosting an open house event to celebrate the opening of our new and renovated spaces on the third floor of Miller Nichols Library on November 17 from 3:00pm-6:00pm.

The Libraries are partnering with the State Historical Society of Missouri, the Geosciences Museum, and faculty from the Digital and Public Humanities initiative on behalf of the Digital Collaboration Studio to welcome visitors to explore each newly opened space, plus LaBudde Special Collections, University Archives, and Marr Sound Archives.

  • This event is free and open to the public.
  • For the health and safety of our guests, we will be following CDC and local guidelines current at the time of the event.
  • Refreshments will be available for takeaway.
  • Registration is not required, but we ask that you RSVP using the "Begin Registration" button below if you plan to attend so that we can plan accordingly to manage capacity in our spaces.
  • Free parking for the event is available in the UMKC Cherry Street Parking Garage. Guests may park in any non-reserved space in the garage; ticketing will be suspended.
  • To park in an accessible space in the parking lot north of the library, please contact the UMKC Libraries Administrative Office for a temporary parking pass by calling (816) 235-1531 or emailing umkcula@umkc.edu.
