International Student Celebration: Experience South Asia

International Student Celebration: Experience South Asia

As part of International Education Week, the UMKC Libraries are partnering with the International Student Affairs Office to host a cultural celebration focusing on countries in south Asia from which many of our international students join us: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

In celebration of our community of international students at UMKC, experience the culture of South Asia through a series of speakers, performances, and authentic cuisine.

  • Dr. Sirisha Naidu: "200 Cuisines: India's Diverse Food Cultures"
  • Dr. Andrew Granade - "Music and Experience in South Asia"
  • Live performances by UMKC international students
